AllahNur Islamic School recently hosted its annual Qur’an Recitation Competition, and it was nothing short of spiritually uplifting! The event brought together students from various classes to showcase their memorization, tajweed (pronunciation), and love for the Holy Qur’an.
Held in the school hall with an attentive audience of parents, staff, and fellow students, the competition served as a beautiful reminder of our core mission—to raise children who are knowledgeable in both deen and dunya. From Juz Amma to Surah Yasin, participants recited with confidence, clarity, and deep reverence.
Our panel of judges, made up of respected Islamic scholars and teachers, were amazed by the students’ pronunciation and understanding. Special commendation was given to Amina Sulaiman (JSS3) and Mubarak Lawal (SS1), who tied for first place with near-perfect recitations and inspiring humility.
Beyond competition, the event encouraged all students to strengthen their relationship with the Qur’an—not just for prizes, but for lifelong guidance. It also reinforced values such as discipline, memorization skills, stage presence, and spiritual pride.
In his closing remarks, our principal praised all participants and reminded everyone that “the best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” Medals, certificates, and special Qur’an gift sets were awarded to top performers, while everyone left with renewed motivation.
